Added PinchZoomDetector and Example

Postby Nicolas Gramlich » Mon Nov 08, 2010 1:00 am

Hello Community,

some days ago a beta-tester of my upcoming game suggested that PinchZoom would be a nice addition on MultiTouch devices. So I could not resist to implement a PinchZoomDetector

And here is an Example: http://code.google.com/p/andengineexamp ... ample.java

Best Regards,
Nicolas

Nicolas,

PackageManager.FEATURE_TOUCHSCREEN_MULTITOUCH_DISTINCT is only available in API 8 (2.2).

Is there any other way to do this without losing compatibility?

Hm do you have runtime-problems using this :?:
It obviously works only on devices that have multitouch hardware and android >= API 7 .
That is why it is in the MultiTouchExtension and not in the AndEngine-core.

I have compile problems because I'm compiling all projects with API 7.

Hi,

you mean that you try to compile the MultiTouchExtension against API Level 7?
Or do you have porblems using the compiled jar of the extension in your API Level 7 app?

Nicolas

To be updated quickly and easily, I download by mercury (hg clone) all your projects to my computer. Then I create a pom.xml (maven) for each as modules, in order to compile with a single command.

When you change something, I run "hg pull", then "hg update" and "mvn compile" to generate all jars.

Up to yesterday, I was compiling all projects with API 7, but I changed it to 8 for multitouchextension module.
