Hi there. I'm new here and I'm trying to setup the engine. I have an error saying that andengine.jar is missing and I can't find a link to download it from anywhere so I can put it in the needed folder, the links on the first page are not working. Thanks.

I want to develop a game using Andengine and i am new to game developing field.

Here's the scenario for my simple Animal game

i have 3 regions a,b,c. a(domestic) and b(wild) are empty regions.c contains some pictures(sprites) of animals.when the game starts i want to move these animals to corresponding regions.the problem is how to check these animals moved to that particular region?

Normally you should post such questions in the GLES1 thread or GLES2 thread of this forum.
Anyway for your issue, look at the Collision Detection example in the Andengine examples.

Hi,

I am very new to AndEngine, Android and Java development. (coming from .Net World).
I followed to the letter your tutorial but cannot run the application due to errors:
The method onLoadComplete() of type Main must override a superclass method and the same for all 4 overrides.

I do have @Override annotation on the methods and eclipse's quick fix suggest removing it. Of course removing does not help. I am king of stuck on my first attempt to run simplest application ever....

What could be wrong here?

Again that boring question - trying to make the examples in GLES2 working. I set up all the extensions and i ve got no error messages, but when i pulled examples from git there are over 9000 errors in code. Compiler is 1.6 , all libs linked and everything is fine. But i can t even strt this examples, `couse of code errors. Could you help me?
P.S Errors are especially in @Override methods. There are troubles with my settings, but i can t understand where

Huh i restarted eclipse and now there are 16 errors. The main error with import org.andengine.opengl.vbo.DrawType; - this import couldn t be found. That class isn t present yet. What i have to do with it?
P.S Found that public static enum, in VertexBufferObject anonimous class.
P.P.S Just imported org.andengine.opengl.vbo.VertexBufferObject .DrawType; Nicolas please be more accurate, if u need help i can help u with testing the examples)

I've been programming games using android canvas but users are always bitching about it.
