Great tutorial and looking to finish it when ready. Is there anyway to get the source since I am having an issue...on resume shows the splash screen then goes black. The menu screen only shows up on fresh install and not a resume.

public void onPopulateScene(Scene pScene, OnPopulateSceneCallback pOnPopulateSceneCallback) throws IOException
{
mEngine.registerUpdateHandler(new TimerHandler(2f, new ITimerCallback()
{
public void onTimePassed(final TimerHandler pTimerHandler)
{
mEngine.unregisterUpdateHandler(pTimerHandler);
// load menu resources, create menu scene
createMenuScene();

// set menu scene using scene manager
disposeSplashScene();
}
}));
pOnPopulateSceneCallback.onPopulateSceneFinished();
}

private void createMenuScene()
{
resourcesManager.loadMenuResources();
menuScene = new MainMenuScene();
SceneManager.getInstance().setScene(menuScene);
}

private void loadMenuGraphics()
{

BitmapTextureAtlasTextureRegionFactory.setAssetBasePath("gfx/menu/");
menuTextureAtlas = new BuildableBitmapTextureAtlas(activity.getTextureManager(), 1024, 1024, TextureOptions.BILINEAR);
menu_background_region = BitmapTextureAtlasTextureRegionFactory.createFromAsset(menuTextureAtlas, activity, "menu_background.png");
play_region = BitmapTextureAtlasTextureRegionFactory.createFromAsset(menuTextureAtlas, activity, "play.png");
options_region = BitmapTextureAtlasTextureRegionFactory.createFromAsset(menuTextureAtlas, activity, "options.png");

try
{
this.menuTextureAtlas.build(new BlackPawnTextureAtlasBuilder<IBitmapTextureAtlasSource, BitmapTextureAtlas>(0, 1, 0));
this.menuTextureAtlas.load();
}
catch (final TextureAtlasBuilderException e)
{
Debug.e(e);
}

}

Try override onDestroy() inside activity and call System.exit(0);

I am a little stuck on how to launch the gamescene from the menu scene. I already have all the resources and such loaded. Trying to call the createGameScene from the menuscene, thanks

////gameactivity
void createGameScene(){
resourcesManager.loadGameResources();
gameScene = new GameScene();
SceneManager.getInstance().setScene(gameScene);
}
//////////////////////////////////

///menuscene
@Override
public boolean onMenuItemClicked(MenuScene pMenuScene, IMenuItem pMenuItem,
float pMenuItemLocalX, float pMenuItemLocalY) {

switch(pMenuItem.getID())
{
case MENU_PLAY:
///need help here .... (gameScene);

return true;
case MENU_OPTIONS:
return true;
default:
return false;
}

}

thought the correct answer would be

case MENU_PLAY:
//(gameScene);
activity.createGameScene();
