I think it depends on the person.
I never went to high school, and only attended maybe 4 semesters of college? I had already found a part time job as a computer technician when I began college, and I managed to transfer over to programming before I was even able to take a computer class. College wasn't teaching me anything I needed for my job, so I dropped out. Managed to go full time salary after that.

Keep in mind that I consider myself self taught in 95% of what I know. Not everyone is capable of this.

I suppose I should state that I was laid off in mid-2007 after nearly 10 years of employment. Been working for myself since then, but it's not easy. I've gone through quite a bit of my savings. :?

Probably. Wasn't paying that much attention. Seems like every forum gets that question/suggestion legitimately asked at some point. :?

Personally, I don't have an issue if you want to delete this thread, or at least delete the link hidden in the OP.
