Giving AndEngine a try

Postby Kalagaraz » Tue Jul 20, 2010 5:15 pm

I wanted to try developing a game for my Droid X, but haven't done any mobile development before. I've done tons of PC development and some Xbox 350 development using XNA. I found AndEngine and figured I'd give it a try, ran all the benchmarks on my Droid X, figured you might not have data for this device yet since it just came out.

My goal is to write a quality RPG/PhysicsPuzzler type game. I don't think android has any quality rpgs yet in my opinion and the few RPGs it does have try and cram traditonal PC interfaces/gameplay into a mobile device which just doesn't work smoothly in my opinion.

Hope to see you guys around, and I'm sure you'll see lots of questions from me.
