Multitouch with AnalogOnScreenController

First off, I have seen this thread http://www.andengine.org/forums/post23011.html?hilit=multi%20touch%20controls#p23011 in which an alternative to the standard on screen controls was given, as it was said that there is a bug with using on screen controls AND multitouch.

Given the age of the thread and seeing many posts about the engine always being modified, I wonder if it is wise to attempt using the given alternative. Or is there a special multitouch thingy I haven't seen? The examples for dual controls and multitouch work on their own, but a control and just touching the scene don't work simultaneously.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Solved:
The key is to import andenginemultitouchextension.jar to your project and add 1 line to engine:
engine.setTouchController(new MultiTouchController());
