WYSIWYG? GUI for AndEngine

Hey all,

I have gone all out Unity 3D for now, even though I loved using AndEngine. But the GUI in Unity 3D really helps me develop stuff so much faster. I had to pay to be able to make any Android APKs though. But truly worth it.

I have seen different takes on making different GUI for different parts of AndEngine, but I am about to have much more time on my hands, and I would like to see a project started up where we might try to develop something similar for AndEngine. A big GUI that could make AndEngine as easy to use for making apps, as Unity, but with much more focus on 2D.

I will take much time and dedication of course.

I don't know if you've read the blog or if you mean something more complex but I think there's a cocos extension that is WYSIWYG, I haven't looked at it much http://www.andengine.org/blog/. Also I'd be willing to help in anyway I could.

Its cool, just noticed it, but after brief look (so I might be wrong) its rather for positioning everything.

but I bet thread authors idea was to create library with GUI components, like for example tabbed menu, popups, scrollable panels/menus and so on, thats at least what I thought about.

Hi

I began an UI project called "AndEngineControls" that you can find on GitHub : https://github.com/killoctal/AndEngineControls

But finally I began tu use the UI of Android because I discovered that it is possible to mix Android UI and AndEngine.
