postDelayed function for Engine

In my game i use this code for delay showing status superhit
Syntax: [ Download ] [ Hide ]
Using java Syntax Highlighting
  1. handler.postDelayed(new Runnable() {
  2.     @Override
  3.     public void run()
  4.     {
  5.         sIcon.setStatus(SuperHitSatus.ENABLED);
  6.     }
  7. }, (long) (10*1000));
Parsed in 0.011 seconds, using GeSHi

But user can to set pause and just to wait this time.
How can I to delay some code taking into account playing time?
Game engine needs this function. Or maybe it already exists?
