Bought it. Haven't read it, just skimmed so far -- but it seems pretty good at first glance. There are definitely parts that would have made building my first game Roshambomb (http://roshambomb.com) easier had I understood them the first time around.

I like it when books are published about open source projects because sometime it is nice to have some sequential documentation. Even though the forum is pretty active sometimes it's nice to see what an author thinks is important to know.

Looks like libgDX is better and Cocos2d-x works on iOS, Android and Windows. Cool and it is not LGPL.

It looks that it is time to start with another framework like libgdx or Cocos2d for Android that is not that good but is not LGPL. Bye bye AndEngine!

That is great news. I believe that this will dramatically increase usage of AndEngine. It is really great engine. Probably as good as Cocos2D on iOS and definitely there is nothing better on the Android OS.

Now I will start to work on my game not only on iOS version but also on Android version. Thank you!

AndEngine in this very moment is LGPL, but I'm moving it to Apache v2 within a week. In both cases your game code can be closed source!!
